Bio
"Mrs. Louise Scholl, nee Paulus, died near San Marcos, March 5 after an illness of two weeks of gall stone. She was born in Breidscheid, Dutchy of Nassau, May 7, 1840. In 1852 she came with her parents to Texas. After being grown to womanhood, she was married to Mr. Jacob Scholl in 1860, with whom she lived most happily, sharing with him all the joys and adversities of live. Twelve children were born to this union, 5 sons and 3 daughters, of whom 1 son and 3 daughters preceded the parents in death. On March 5, 1893, just 21 years before her death, she lost her husband. Since her arrival in Texas, the deceased has lived in or near this city. Since her husbands death she lived at different times in or near this city with her children; but the past 8 years with her oldest grand daughter, Mrs. Harry Bretzke. She reached the age of 73 years, 5 months, 28 days. The mourners are, 4 sons, Carl, Henry, Willie, and Robert Scholl; 4 daughters, Mrs Wm. Bode, Mrs. Louis Bauerschag and Mrs. Edmond Moeller; 2 brothers, August and Ferdinand Paulus; 4 sons-in-law, 4 daughters-in-law, 39 grand children, 2 great grand children, and many other relatives and friends. Interment was made Friday, March 6, in the Comal Cemetery, where Rev. G. Mornbinweg officiated."
