No service will be held for Earl Leonard "Mac" (Robinson) McNamee, 92, at his request. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. McNamee, who was born in Bessemer, Mich., died Tuesday. He was a 27-year resident of Post Falls. In 1932 he married Jessie Lee Pierce. The couple had two children before divorcing in 1938. Mr. McNamee moved to Alaska and worked as an ironworker. In 1945 he married Jeanette H. Kokta. They moved to Spokane, where he also worked as an ironworker. Mr. McNamee was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his horses. He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by a son, Earl "Mickey" L. (McNamee) Moore in October, 1995; a brother, Edgar W. in 1975, and a sister, Marie Olson in July 2001. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mary Jeanette Milne of Spokane; a sister, Bernadette Olson of Bellevue, Wash.; seven grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. —From The Spokesman-Review; Tuesday, August 21, 2001
