Bio
Lora Alta Lee Graninger was gracefully carried home by the wings of her Angel where she has been welcomed with loving hugs by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On April 19, 2014, at the age of 92 years, 11 months and 4 days, she was blessed with a change of address, completing her earthly journey and becoming one of the newest residents of Heaven. She was born May 15, 1921 in Fort Worth, Texas to Pete Coltzer and Ethel Johnson. Her childhood was spent growing up in Vernon, Texas. It was on December 12, 1942 that she and Albert Thomas Graninger confessed their love and exchanged their marriage vows in Fredrick, Oklahoma. Together in 1946 they made their move and began creating a lifetime of memories in Levelland, Texas. Lora has entrusted her loved ones with beautiful memories and the blessings of her spiritual testimonies to forever be shared beyond her physical presence. She is survived by her six children: Lindel Graninger and wife Glenda, Weldon Graninger and wife Elaine, Darwin Graninger and wife Phylis, Ronnie Graninger and wife Shirley, Judy Carter and husband Billy, Joyce Hill and husband Rickey; one step-sister, Queena Channel. She has also been blessed with fourteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, as well as all the loved ones that she has accepted, adopting them as family kin with all the love in her heart. She was preceded in Heavenly Homecomings by her husband, Albert Thomas Graninger, a granddaughter, Angela Holt, her parents Pete Coltzer and Ethel Johnson Woodward; two sisters, Azalee Brooks and Margret Thompson, and a brother, Luke Adams Published by George Price Funeral Home © 2014 SCI Management
