Bio
Ruth Viola Elsik Jurca was born on July 16,1924 to Frances(Fannie)Simecek Elsik & Emil Elsik of Oenaville, TX. She attended Temple High school, and graduated from King's Daughters nursing school. Ruth was employed at the Temple VA hospital as an RN and later as Chief of Supply. She married Leon Edward Jurca on July 8, 1950, and they had two children, Ronald Lynn Jurca(1951)& Sherry Denise Jurca Briggs(1954). After working over 30 years at the VA hospital, she & Leon retired to their home in Cameron TX to raise cattle. She peacefully passed away on October 6, 2005. Ruth & Leon are buried at Liberty Cemetery in Liberty, TX.
