Mrs. Bonnie Jean Smith, age 85, a resident of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, April 18, 2014 in Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana. She was born on October 5, 1928 in Umpire, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Rissie Ralls Baber; husband, Ovea Noel Smith and one daughter, Elizabeth Farmer. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Kesterson and Brenda Smith Burns both of Texarkana, Arkansas; one son, Terry Lynn Smith of Umpire; five grandchildren, Tonya Wilkerson, Jason Allison, Anthony Boquin, Justin Dominguez and Noel Hughes; eight great grandchildren, Rodrick Steel, Elizabeth Ashalintubbi, Kaden Wilkerson, Mariana Dominguez, Eric Lane Dominguez, Bonnie Allison, Victoria Allison and Madyx Boquin and one great-great granddaughter, Samantha Steel. Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in the Athens Missionary Baptist Church in Athens, Arkansas with Bro. Scott Kitchens officiating. Burial will follow in the Athens Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
