Bio
Services for Christine Mitchell age 81, of Palestine will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Abernathy and Rev. Rick Dees officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Mrs. Mitchell died Friday at the David E. Foster Hospice Unit at Palestine Regional Medical Center. She was born July 4, 1932 in Anderson County to Buster and Ruth Wortham Haltom. Mrs. Mitchell was a retired secretary from the Palestine Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Darwin Mitchell, son, Mike Mitchell and wife Kristi, and close family and friend Alan Fox and wife Tanya and five grandchildren, Kevin, Emily, Dakota, Brady and Kiersten. Pallbearers will be Stan Stevenson, Chris Fox, Brady Mitchell, Dee Bell, David Raybin, and Steven McGee. Condolence calls will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday at Bailey & Foster.
