Mother: Rhoda Mozelle O’Quinn. Married: Julia Ann Sowell Gartman, September 6, 1911, Athens, Henderson County, Texas. Funeral For Mr. Darden Held Tuesday. Funeral services for Granberry Darden, about 82, who died Monday night at 7:15 o’clock at his room at 512 Owen Street of a stroke, were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Leagueville Baptist church. The services were conducted by the Rev. L. D. Rose. Burial was in the Leagueville Cemetery. The Athens Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Darden, a native Texas, was a retired groceryman and framer, and had resided in Athens for about the last 12 years. He retired before coming to Athens. Surviving are one cousin, W. G. Darden, of Athens. Published in the Athens Weekly Review, March 28, 1946.
