the son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Taylor) Carlisle. Christened 16 Apr 1798 Riseholme, Lincolnshire. Married 1) Jane Field 2) Maria Crook. Converted to LDS Church and emigrated to Utah, USA in 1851. Father of 12 children.
