Son of Lloyd Van Bevers and Jewel West Van Bevers. Don graduated from Farmersville High School in 1974 in Farmersville, Texas. Survived by wife, brother, children and countless other family and friends. Memorial held on June 1, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Heath, 224 F.M. 1140 Heath, Texas. Funeral Home Obituary: Donald Ray Van Bevers was born December 24, 1956 in Sinton, TX. He departed this life on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in McKinney, TX, at the age of 56. Don lived in Rockwall, TX, with his wife, Kasi, and their three children - Kolby, Brady and Jackson. He grew up in Frognot, TX, and graduated Farmersville High School in Farmersville, TX, in 1974. Don was one of two children born to the late Lloyd Van Bevers and Jewel West Van Bevers. He was the beloved husband of Kasi Doyle for almost 22 years. Don will forever be remembered by his brother, Lloyd, and niece, Jamie, along with countless other friends and family members who were blessed to have known and loved him. He enjoyed watching his daughter, Kolby, dance on the high school drill team, as well as listening to her play the piano. He always cheered on his two sons - Brady, who wrestles and plays football for Rockwall-Heath High School, and Jackson, who plays baseball and football. Don was truly his kid's biggest fan and encourager. He brought joy to all who knew him. Don touched the lives of so many with his smile and generosity. His trademark sense of humor encouraged those around him. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at 10:00am, Friday, June 1, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Heath, 224 FM 1140, Heath, TX 75032. Pastor Greg Beauchamp will officiate. The view will precede the serviced at 9:00am. A graveside service will be held following the memorial service at 1:30pm in the Waxahachie City Cemetery in Waxahachie, TX. The family requests that any memorial contributions be sent to Heath Wrestling c/o Rockwall-Heath High School, 801 Laurence Dr, Heath, TX 75032.
