Alvira B. "Beth" Vasicek, age 79, of Council Bluffs, passed away April 13, 2014, at St. Joseph Villa in Omaha. Beth was born April 26, 1934, in Nemaha County, Kansas, to the late Allen and Sarah (Kelly) Edwards. She graduated from Ord, Nebraska High School in 1952 and married Leo F. Vasicek on April 11, 1954. They were blessed with four children, Gwen, Janet, Carol and Scott. Beth was fabric manager at Richman Gordman for many years. In addition to her parents, Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Leo F. Vasicek in 2006; daughter, Carol in 2001; granddaughter, Haley Evans in 1987; and 6 brothers. Beth is survived by her daughters, Gwen (Douglas) Evans of Glenwood, Janet (Renee Edwards) Hutson of Council Bluffs; son, Scott (Anne Kenealy) Vasicek of Bellevue, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; sister, Lila Lee Evans of Chadron, Nebraska; nieces and nephews.
