Agnes Barbara Woitaszewski, 88 of Ord formerly of Loup City, died Sunday April 6th 2014 at the Valley County Health System Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 10, at 10:30 am at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Burial will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery at Loup City at 2:00 pm Thursday. Agnes was born October 8, 1925, in rural Litchfield, Nebraska to Frank and Catherine (Bandur) Oseka. She was married to Richard Woitaszewski on July 11, 1945, at the St. Josaphat's Church in Loup City. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2009. They were married for 63 years. Agnes grew up on the family farm and attended Rural District 64 and graduated from Wiggle Creek High School. Agnes and Richard celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in 2008. Richard was called to service, and Agnes worked in Elkhorn until his discharge December 11, 1946, they continued to live in Elkhorn until 1951. They then moved to Sherman County and farmed until 1986, when they retired and moved to Ord. Agnes was a homemaker at heart, she enjoyed cooking, baking apple pie, rolls, canning and making horse radish, dill pickles, and farm chores. Her hobbies were playing cards with neighbors; her children, sewing, crocheting, gardening and having family gatherings. Agnes loved genealogy and did extensive findings with relatives and getting family history of her parents and other relatives. She was a member of the St. Josaphat's Church in Loup City and the rosary sodality. In 1986, she became a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and altar society in Ord. Agnes is survived by six daughters and five sons-in-law, Kathy and Richard Bilka of Burwell, Cindy and Adrian Sonnenfeld of Ord, Jean and Brett Jungren of Elmwood, Stacy and Duane Drake of Lincoln, Connie and Clint Lewis of Hastings and Stephanie Woitaszewski of Durango, Colorado; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one sister, Marie Peetz and her husband Alvin of Omaha. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a infant daughter, Kimberly, a granddaughter ,Debra Sue Bilka, a grandson, Wayne R. Bilka; three sisters, Florence Peterson, Cecilia Agnew, Evelyn Karmann; and three brothers, Leonard, Donald and Clarence Oseka.
