Bio

George J. Lamb of Houston, born on September 16, 1924, joined our Heavenly Father on April 3, 2014. He is a World War II veteran. After the war he attended the University of Houston where he obtained a civil engineering degree. He owned and operated a civil engineering surveying business for more than 40 years in and around the Houston area. He was preceded in death by his parents George J. Lamb, Sr. and Anna Gertrude Lamb and siblings Margaret Gerst, Thomas F. Lamb and Mary Ann Flatley. He is survived by his wife Laverne Ryman Lamb and nieces and nephews too numerous to list. The family of Mr. George Lamb will be receiving friends on Monday, April 7, 2014 from 5:00-9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Ave. Houston, Texas, 77023. Funeral services will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7250 Harrisburg Blvd, Houston, TX 77011, on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Avenue, Houston, Texas. Following the burial service, the family will receive guests at Immaculate Conception parish hall immediately following the burial service.
