Cedar Park—Floyd Cleo Thompson, 76 passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 in Cedar Park. He was born on October 12, 1937 in Gilmer to Melvin C. Thompson and the late Thelma Lucille McCellon Thompson. Floyd proudly served his country in the US Army. He retired after 32 years with Brown & Root in Victoria as a Maintenance Supervisor. Floyd really enjoyed spending time outdoors. He liked gardening, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed cooking, but most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Floyd's true passion and the mark he left on all of us was the gift of helping others in need. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by both of his wives, Gwendolyn Bishop Thompson and Shirlene Thompson; three children, Gwynetta, Melvin and Baby Boy Thompson; sister, Betty Lively and two grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Seadrift Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Grace Funeral Home.
