Taken from the Dallas Morning News 04/03/14 Josephine Marchman Nash who ascended on March 30, 2014, was born to Dr. and Mrs. O.M. Marchman on November 24, 1916. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Oscar M. Marchman, Jr. and her husband of 34 years, Horace Reuel Nash. She attended The Hockaday School, Woodrow Wilson High School, and Randolph-Macon Woman's College and received a Bachelor Of Arts degree from Baylor University. It was at Baylor that Josephine found the love of her life, Horace Nash. They married in 1938 and were blessed with four wonderful children, Martha N. Smith, Horace R. (Buddy)Nash, Jr., Elizabeth N. Gorman, and Jody N. Magers. Their home was happy and Christ-honoring. Josephine was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, Junior League of Dallas, Dallas Antiques & Fine Arts Society, Town and Country Book Club, the Bethany Moms, and President of the Armstrong PTA for 2 years. For 50 years she taught a ladies Bible Study at First Baptist Church, Dallas, the church where she committed her life to Christ when she was ten years old. She taught music at The Children's Development Center for 20 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The First Baptist Church of Dallas or the charity of your choice . A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, April 5, 2014, at The First Baptist Church of Dallas, 1707 San Jacinto St., Dallas, TX, 75201.
