Stephen A. Mandry in St. Anne's Catholic Church in Eastgate. Burial was in Eastgate Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home of Dayton. Smikal died at 5 a.m. Friday, September 7, in Humana Hospital in Baytown. A rosary for her was recited Sunday by the Rev. Mandry. She was born in Sealy and had been a Crosby resident for 22 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the KJTZ Lodge. She is survived by three sons, Louis Smikal of Houston, Frank Smikal of Crosby and Leroy Smikal of Humble; five daughters, Barbara Towler, Mary Cotton and Clara Kovalcik, all of Crosby, Betty Petrash of Houston and Jarmilla Green of Dayton; a brother, Frank Gregurek of Sealy; a sister, Mary Kucera of Sealy; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ray Cotton, Allen Cotton, Donnie Petrash, David Petrash, Michael Petrash, and James Green.
