Bio
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Wood, 66, died in a local hospital Sunday at 5?45 a.m., following a week's illness of pneumonia. Shae was born on February 14, 1871, in Murray to George C. and Rebecca Bawden Watts. She had been a resident of Murray her entire life and was a member of the Companions of the Forest lodge. Surviving are her husband, John M. Wood, and the following sons and daughter; Raymond and Eugene Wood, Murray; Jack A. and Sherman Wood of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Stern Wood, Bennion; Mrs. Henry Wheeler, South Cottonwood; six brothers, Neil Watts, Ogden; Nathaniel George, Eugene, Bert and Henry Watts, all of Murray; ten grandchildren and one great grand child, Larry Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stern Wood, of Bennion. Mrs. and Mrs. Wood were married 49 years on April 9 of this year. Mr. Wood has been street supervisor of Murray for 21 years.
