Connie Elaine Huff Paenitz fell asleep in Jesus on March 22, 2014. She was born in Elgin, TX on May 25, 1947 to Lloyd and Dorothy Huff. Connie worked in the Elgin public schools from 1975 to 2014. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and teacher to many. She was married 47 years to the love of her life, Delbert Paenitz. She is survived by her husband, Del; her children Bryan Paenitz of McDade, Shannon Bailey (Jim) of Keene, Melissa Van Raden (Harold) of Kenai Peninsula, Alaska, and Lonney Paenitz of Matagorda; grandchildren Taylor and Grant Bailey, Mindy Rohde, Jennifer, and Bradley Van Raden; great-granddaughter Kaitlyn Rohde; and sister JoCarol Snowden (Allen Kemp) of Austin. A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A celebration of Connie's life will be held 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mc Dade Cemetery.
