Johnson Lee (Jack) Stambaugh (September 3, 1925 - March 26, 2014) Johnson "John" or "Jack" Lee Stambaugh passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Settlers Ridge Care Center, Celina, Texas. He was born on Thursday, September 3, 1925 in McAllen, Texas, to Jacob Lee Stambaugh and Lillian Johnson Stambaugh. John attended schools at Farr-San Juan, and graduated in 1942. He attended Edinburg Junior College one year before enlisting in the U.S. Army on December 18, 1943, at the beginning of World War II. He served his country in Germany and France until May 1, 1946. Upon coming home, he enrolled in The University of Texas, graduating in 1949. John was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone for 7 years, General Telephone for 5 years, and LTV Aerospace and its successor Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control for 29 years, retiring in 1990, working in Communications and Procedures. He was a member of Saint Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church. He is survived by a host of friends and relatives. Visitation will be at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 109 S.
