Roberta Lee "Bobbie" (Young) Sackett, 83 August 14, 1930 ~ March 22, 2014 Roberta Sackett retired from Alcatel/Lucent, a telecommunications equipment company, in 1993. She had worked as a factory employee her entire career. Her hobbies included flower gardening, playing cards, and watching sports. She enjoyed the Gretna Senior Center Company of many friends, and also enjoyed traveling with her sister, Lois. Roberta loved all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents Hattie and John Young, husband La Verne Sackett, sisters Lois Sikyta and Ruth Armstrong, brother Wilber Keith Young. Survived by brother John (Judy) Young of Lodi, CA; son Bruce (Bridget) Sackett of Gretna; grandchildren: Dr. Sean Sackett and Dr. Denise Sackett of Chandler, AZ, Ann Sackett of Gretna, Kathleen Koll and Dr. William Koll of Eagle River, Alaska; great-grandchildren: Liam, Aidan, Keara, Jamison and Preston. Visitation Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 5-7 pm at Roeder Mortuary 11710 Standing Stone, Gretna, Nebraska. Inurnment will be in Ashland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials suggested to the Gretna Education Foundation c/o Gretna Public Schools.
