Bio

Thomas Leroy Coutas, 78, of Enumclaw, Wash., died at 6:30 tonight at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wilbur Tarbet, of Leland. He had been visiting here for several weeks. Death was due to heart trouble from which he had suffered for the last month. Mr. Coultas was born on April 12, 1873, at Jacksonville, Ill.. in 1911 he moved to Lewiston and taught school until 1941. Since his retirement at that time, he lived at his dairy ranch at Enumclaw. Mr. Coultas, a widower, was a graduate of Drake University in North Dakota and a member of the Christian Church and the Grange at Enumclaw. In addition to his daughter, Mrs. Tarbet, Mr. Coultas is survived by a son, John T. Coultas, Fort Worth, Texas, and four grandchildren. Lewiston Tribune Sunday, September 02, 1951 pg. 7
