Anna Hamilton and Robert Gaines married circa 1886. Their children were (or included:) * Louise Blanche Gaines (1888-1985,) * Ralph Alexander Gaines (1890-1940,) * James Ira Gaines (1891-1933,) * Maude Eloise Gaines McNerney (1893-1964,) * Robert Hamilton Gaines (1894-1977,) * Annabel Gaines (born circa 1896,) * Paschal Clay Gaines (1898-1966,) * Dollie Gaines (born 1899,) and * Evelyn F. Gaines Bell (1910-1956.) ------------------------------- Plot and inscription came from survey by Maggie Rail, 2001-2012 mrail.net/data/cemete/wash/ spokane/greenwood/index.htm -------------------------------- Additional information was taken from U.S. Census enumerations for 1880 (with parents and siblings in Center, Decatur, Iowa,) 1900 (with spouse and children in Coin, Whitman, Washington,) 1910 and 1920 (with spouse and children in St John, Whitman, Washington,) 1930 and 1940 (with daughter (Evelyn in 1930; Blanche in 1940) in Spokane, Spokane, Washington;) Idaho Death Index, 1890-1964, for daughter Evelyn Gaines Bell (1910-1956;) and Washington, Deaths, 1883-1960. Note that the 1930 U.S. Census shows Robert B. Gaines as widowed, living in Saint John, Whitman, Washington; that Census shows Mary Anna Gaines as widowed, living in Spokane City. Perhaps the couple had separated.
