Bio
John Thomas Hollabaugh was the sixth of fourteen children born to Jacob Hollabaugh Sr and his wife, Rosannah A Harvey Hollabaugh. The new family settled in Perry county, Tennessee, where both Jacob Sr, and his wife Rosannah had been born. The first nine of their children were also born in Perry county. By 1861, the family had migrated to Wayne county, Tennessee, where Isham and the last four children were born. Nine of the fourteen children died out of state, and were buried near their new homes. Of the five children who died in Wayne county, Mary Jane Hollabaugh Tharp, Elizabeth Catherine Hollabaugh Bridges and Joseph Brown Hollabaugh are known to be buried with their parents at the Hollabaugh Cemetery in Wayne county. Mary Virginia Hollabaugh Choate is buried with her husband in the Choate family cemetery, also in Wayne county. John Thomas Hollabaugh is presumed to be buried in the Hollabaugh Cemetery with those others of his family who are buried there. None of the family have yet discovered where the last child, Buchanan Breckinridge Hollabaugh (1836-1934), is buried.
