Bio

Calzada, Carley S. VISTA -- Carley S. Calzada, 88, passed away March 11, 2014. Carley, born on June 11, 1925 in Bluff, Utah, was one of 13 children to Jess Henry Stolworthy and Lula Lurene Gillespie. Carley married Alonzo Reed Hancock in 1941 and had six children. She married Philip Espinoza Calzada in 1954 and added two step-children and together Carley and Phil raised eight children. She moved to Northern San Diego County in 1959. Carley was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her brothers, Carr and Larry; children, Jess Radean, Carla LaDee, Lurena Ann, Lyman Reed, Deborah Louise and Marie Louise; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grand- children. Interment will be at Riverside Memorial Cemetery, Riverside, CA on Tuesday, March 18 at 11:30 a.m. Published in U-T San Diego on Mar. 18, 2014.
