John W. Quattlebaum: Newspaper Obituary and Death Notice Fort Worth Star-Telegram (TX) - Sunday, February 16, 1992 Deceased Name: John W. Quattlebaum Blacksmith and farmer ALVARADO - John W. Quattlebaum of Alvarado, a retired Santa Fe Railway blacksmith and farmer, died Friday of natural causes at a Cleburne nursing home. He was 89. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Martin's Funeral Home in Cleburne. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Quattlebaum was born in Leedey, Okla., and lived in Johnson County for many years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Alvarado. He was the widower of Clyde Bell Quattlebaum. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of Dallas. Survivors: Son, Max Quattlebaum of Alvarado; three daughters, Joy Daniels and Floy Naugle, both of Dallas, and Martha Everett of Albuquerque, N.M.; brother, Garland Quattlebaum of Lemoore, Calif.; three sisters, Vera Roberts and Leona Greene, both of Cleburne, and Cleo Lawson of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
