Bio

Lillian Lena Palousek, 91, of Brenham, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Brenham Nursing and Rehab. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Burton, with Pastor Glen Schoeneberg officiating. Interment will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to p.m., Friday, at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Lillian was born in Detmold, Texas, to the late Herman and Marie (Braun) Sommerfeld. She was confirmed August 23, 1936 in Detmold at St. John's Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Palousek; brother, Eldo Sommerfeld; and sisters: Anita Wuensche, Lorine Wuensche, Freida Kieke, and Mamie Whitworth. Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Michalk, of Brenham, and Darrell Palousek, of Dallas; daughter, Joyce Palousek, of Austin; granddaughter, Christina Yoder; many other relatives and friends.
