Bio

Ernest T. Prochaska, 80, of Blair died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. He was born Nov. 4, 1925, in Dwight to Ernest and Marie Kriz Prochaska. He resided in Dwight, Aurora, Ulysses, Seward, Omaha and in Blair since 1970. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-46. He married Helen Krejci on Aug. 5, 1950, in Ravenna. He worked for Omaha Public Schools for more than 22 years, retiring in 1988. Survivors include: his wife; a son, Tom (and wife, Ann) Prochaska of Springfield; a stepsister, Erma (Mrs. Leonard) Skoda of Wahoo; stepbrothers, Herb (and wife, Ann) Townsley of Hinesville, Ga., Gene (and wife, Dee) Payne of Wahoo and Emil (and wife, Myrtle) Krejci of O'Fallon, Mo.; and a grandson. He was preceded in death by a sister. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Visitation is in progress at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Seward Cemetery.
