Frances Irene McLemore, 75, of Athens, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center. She was born May 8, 1930, in Athens to Thomas Pressnell and Minnie Gravitt Pressnell. She was a member of the Lutheran church and was a homemaker. Mrs. McLemore was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Lisa Hefner and by brothers, Gene, David and John Pressnell. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Rosemary and Ricky Brooks of Athens; her grandchildren, Amanda Hampel of Toney, Jeni Brooks of Athens; her great-grandchildren, Jay Hampel and Jacob Hampel, both of Toney, and Meredith Hefner of Richmond, Va.; and one brother, Reuben Pressnell of Athens.
