Ruth Ann Ekeler, 70, of Exeter, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in Lincoln. She was born on April 4, 1943 to Virgil and Esther (Eurich) Conner in Omaha. Survivors include her sons, Mike and Kris Ekeler and Greg Ekeler; daughters, Estelle and Ted DeJonge, Jenny Ekeler, Cathy Ekeler, Liz and Dan Kallhoff, Monika Ekeler, and Mary Ekeler; mother, Esther Deterding; sister and best friend, Faye Neemann; other siblings, Ernestine and Gene Felton, Dick Snell, Jay Woodward and Jo, Bob Mitchell and Marty, Dale Miller and Kay, and Ron Hughes of Lincoln; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 10 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Exeter. Graveside services will take place at Exeter Cemetery in Exeter with Father Thomas Kuffel officiating. A Rosary Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 9 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Exeter. York News Times 6 March 2014
