Delphine Marie Swinnen Johnson Johnson A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church with Reverend Dan O'Connor officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park under the direction of John Kramer & Son. Delphine, 53, of Alexandria passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014 at her residence after a brief and courageous battle with cancer with her family and friends by her side. Visitation for Delphine will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 5:30 p.m. in the chapel of John Kramer & Son. Visitation will continue at 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral on Thursday, March 6, 2014. Delphine graduated from Bolton High School and worked in the banking industry for over 30 years, most recently at Evangeline Bank & Trust. She loved her work and made many friends wherever she went. She also loved motorcycles; and she asked that all of her friends and family who have motorcycles ride them in her funeral procession. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Swinnen and Kathleen Armand Swinnen; her brother, Joseph Swinnen and her sister, Denise (Swinnen) Lemoine . Delphine is survived by her son, Mark Anthony Swinnen and his wife Mallory; her daughter, Heather Marie Johnson; and her precious granddaughter, Macey Kate Swinnen. She is also survived by her brother, Eugene Swinnen of Jackson, Mississippi; as well as many other family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Larry Armand, Wayne Armand, Kurtis Armand, Ronnie Armand, Ryan Lemoine, Jr. and Tony Bandy.
