Bio
Marie Johnston, 87 passed away on September 1, 2013, she was a resident of Pine and Buckeye, Arizona. Marie was born in Rockwood, Tennessee to Willard Knight and Priscilla Neal Knight on July 9, 1926. Her first husband Harry Francis Lovingood, second husband, William Thurman Johnston, son Weldon Brent Lovingood and granddaughter Jill Rene Thomas Hickman preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Maria Hoch, granddaughter Julie Ann Shellberg, and great granddaughter, Ciara Nicole Shellberg. A consummate mother and homemaker, Marie was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She loved to watch the food and cooking channels. She was an avid reader and prior to losing her vision loved to garden and quilt. The last few years of her life she listened to the news channels on both radio and television, and had very strong opinions on the world and local politics.
