ATWOOD -- Martha M. (Dozbaba) Vrbas, 88, died Saturday (Nov. 26, 2005) at the Good Samaritan Center in Atwood. She was born Nov. 9, 1917, in rural Rawlins County to Frank and Hattie (Urban) Dozbaba. She attended country school in Rawlins County and high school in Atwood. She married Vacy Vrbas on Nov. 9, 1938, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Atwood. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Altar Society of Atwood. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vacy; daughter, Geraldine Janice; sister, Mary Ann Most; and brother, Bernard Dozbaba. Survivors include her son, Ron and wife, Linda of Colby; sister, Emily Gilbert of Phillipsburg, Kan.; brothers and sisters-in-law; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Atwood with the Rev. Damien Richards officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Atwood. A parish vigil and rosary will be Tuesday, 6 p.m., at Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Atwood. Visitation will be Tuesday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m., at Williams Funeral Home. Memorials are being accepted in her name. Williams Funeral Home of Atwood is in charge of arrangements.
