Bio
Wilfred J. Haby, Jr., age 75 of Rio Medina, went to be with his Lord on Feb. 24, 2014. Wilfred was born Sept. 20, 1938 in Castroville, one of three children born to Wilfred J. Haby, Sr. and Melba Vogt Haby. On June 10, 1960 he married Ida Marie Steubing at St. Louis Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on Sept. 12, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Wayne B. Noddin. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Randal and Donna Haby of Rio Medina, Ronald Haby of Rio Medina, Bryan and Debbie Haby of Boerne; grandchildren, Cody, Cale, Gage, Tanner, Shane and Camryn; sisters, Nancy (Earl) Mangold and Gaynell Noddin all of Rio Medina; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Two decades of the Holy Rosary will be recited on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 at 10:30 a.m., immediately followed by the Mass of Resurrection at St. Louis Catholic Church in Castroville. Entombment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Garden Mausoleum.
