Bio

Mamie Lockhart Barnes, 54, died Friday, June 15, 1951 in Beverly Hills Hospital in Dallas, after undergoing brain surgery about five months before. She was born in Navarro County on June 13, 1897 and was married to R.H. Barnes on June 3, 1953 in Acme, Texas. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church and was superintendent of the cradle roll department for the past nine years. Survivors: her husband, R.H. Barnes Sons: Alvin Ray Barnes and Roark Barnes both of Rotan Mother: Nora Lockhart of Rotan Sister: Ada Deckhard of Baytown Brothers: W.C., L.C. and C.A. Lockhart, all of Snyder C.F. Lockhart of San Antonio (Published in Abilene Reporter News, June 16, 1951)
