Tyler Morning Telegraph Tyler, Texas · Saturday, March 16, 1985 Mrs. Mamie Pope GRAND SALINE Services for Mrs. Mamie Lee Pope, 76, Dallas, formerly of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday in Macon-Douglas Funeral chapel in Dallas, with the Revs. Rod Bold and Bobby Pope officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Oaks Cemetery in Mesquite under direction of LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Mrs. Pope died early Friday morning in a Dallas hospital after a long illness. She was born in Kaufman County, Feb. 8, 1909, and lived in Grand Saline and Frankston but most of her life was spent in Dallas. She was a member of Calvary Full Gos-pel Church in Mesquite. Survivors include three sons, Wallace Pope Jr. and Edgar Pope, both of Dallas, and Bobby Pope, Balch Springs; two daughters, Betty Sue Atkins and Nelda Carol Kelleher, both of Mesquite; three brothers, L.A. Rushing, Wills Point, Ollie Rushing. Corpus Christi, and Earl Rushing, Dallas two sisters, Juanita Lankford, New Caney, and Edna Boyles, Grand Saline; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Nephews will be pallbearers.
