Bio

Mary Imogene Arnett Glenn, 92, a beautiful lady, has joined the angels in heaven. "Muh" as she was affectionately called by all her family passed away on Friday, February 14. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Oral Randolph Arnett and Dena Smith Arnett, her loving husband, Robert Edward Glenn, her brother Robin Arnett and her sister Gloria Idzi. She is survived by her sisters, June Belew of Southaven, MS, Dena Broadfoot of Greenville, TN, Barbara Otey (Glen) of Folsom, CA and Kerry Chumney (Ken) of Bartlett, TN. Mary adored all her nieces, nephews, their children and grandchildren. She was a member of Garland Road Church of Christ in Dallas, where she taught Sunday School for many years, Union Avenue Church of Christ and Woodland Hills Church of Christ. Her favorite scripture was "all things work together for good to those who love the Lord" Romans 8:28. Her passion for style and beauty influenced her love of art and as a talented artist she served as President of the Dallas Art League and assisted B.G. Eads in the painting of the Our Lady of Hidalgo in the Dallas Cathedral. Mary shared many wonderful paintings with family and friends. She was a graduate of Whitehaven High School, David Lipscomb College and attended Abilene Christian College, where her roommates became lifelong friends. If you knew Muh, you knew the meaning of love. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff of DeSoto Healthcare for their care and compassion for one they loved so dearly. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until the service begins at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 18 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to Woodland Hill Church of Christ or the charity of your choice. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, (901)767-8930, "Behind the Stone Wall" Information from www.memorialparkonline.com
