Bio

James Hulen Holcomb, 85, of Palestine, Texas died February 13, 2014 at his home. Burial in County Line Cemetery is under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Palestine. He was born October 14, 1928, in Anderson County to James Oza Holcomb and Montie Tamp Hanks Holcomb. He worked for Western Union thirty-six years, and was a member of Union United Methodist Church. Mr. Holcomb was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Evelyn Sholden. He is survived by his wife, Belva Lee Holcomb of Palestine; sons, James Holcomb, Jr. and wife Debbie of Palestine, and Jody Bill Holcomb and wife Lori of Duncanville; sister, Hazel Marie Johnson and husband Conard of Winnsboro; brother, Nolan Holcomb and wife Suzi of Washington State; five grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
