Obituary of Zuma Lee Cannon Henry: Funeral services were held earlier this month for Zuma Lee "Tiny" Cannon Henry, 89, who died Wednesday, July 2, in Cathedral City, California. Mrs. Henry was born in Fairfield on October 11, 1918 and was raised on a farm in central Texas along with three brothers and two sisters. She married her high school sweetheart, Herbert Henry, in December of 1941 and moved with him to Cathedral City, California as he began his military training. Mrs. Henry served as Postmaster for the post office in Cathedral City and worked as a nurse's aid. She also owned and operated the Cathedral City hardware store and worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses. Her hobbies included crocheting, crafting, cooking, tending to her rose garden and visiting with friends. She was given the nickname "Tiny" because of her petite stature, standing only at 5'1". She was the recipient of a plaque from the Cathedral City Chamber of Commerce, recognizing her as the longest living resident. Services were held Monday, in California. Mrs. Henry is survived by her daughter Janie Henry of California; son, Roger Henry and wife, Debby, of California; two grandsons; brothers: Millard Cannon of Temple, H. J. Cannon and Thomas Doyle Cannon, both of Fairfield; sisters: Marie Richardson and Juanita Chavers, both of Fairfield. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herb Henry.
