David Lee Ivicic 61, of Caldwell passed away suddenly Monday, January 27, 2014 in Bryan. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, February 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home Chapel, with Deacon John Young officiating. The family will receive guests from noon till service time. Following the service all are welcome to share a time of fellowship and reflection of "Big Dave's" life at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. David was born October 21, 1952 in Belton, TX to parents Rudy Ivicic Sr. and Alma (Gommert) Ivicic. Big Dave was a hard working respected local business owner of the Longhorn Saloon and Mud cats Restaurant and was the manager of Zip-n Convenience store. When he wasn't working you might find him enjoying a game of dominoes, singing karaoke, taking long rides in the country or watching his beloved Aggies. But his favorite pass time was spending time with his grandbabies and his family and friends. He graduated from Holland High School class of 71. He also served as past President of the SPJST Lodge # 80. David is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Rudy Ivicic Jr, two sisters, Marie Michalka, and Carolyn Coker. "Big Dave" is survived by his wife, Mary Ivicic of Caldwell, two daughters, Monica Ann Weir and husband Kenny of Troy, TX, Michelle Ivicic of Temple, TX, a step-daughter, Laurie Webb of Caldwell, TX, a step-son-Scott Webb of Caldwell, TX, a brother, Richard Ivicic and wife Mary of Taylor, TX, and a sister, Linda Boyett and husband Doyce of Houston, TX and by seven grandchildren, Jared Aly, Jakob Aly, Faith Clay, Jace Aly, Trenton Webb, Kole Weir and Hayden Taylor, and by other relatives and host of friends that will miss him. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the David Ivicic Memorial Fund at Prosperity Bank.
