Lagow, Elva E. Born 7-4-1921 in Cottonwood, TX & passed away 3-24-2009 in Mesquite, TX. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carlton A. Lagow; daughter, Mary Evon Elder & brother, Joe Smith; mother & father, Robert Andrew Smith & Ida Cotel Smith. Survived by daughter, Judy Whelan; son, Jeffery L. Lagow & wife, Marilee; 8 grandchildren, Cynthia Coury, Donna Allen, Kyle Lagow, David Elder, Jr., Regina Frederiksen, Jon Lagow, Carol Dauphin, Aimee Bean; numerous greatgrandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; brother, Alton Smith & wife, Doris; sister-in-law, Hansel Smith. She was a member of Grand View Baptist Church & the Red Hat Club. Jean loved working with children & aided in the church kindergarten. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, 3-27-2009 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, 3-28-2009 in the Grove Hill Chapel.
