Bio
Anna K. Zmolek, 94, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014, in Ennis, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014, with Rosary at 7 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2014, in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father John Dick as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Anna was born in Ennis, Texas, to the late Frank K. and Carrie (Cervenka) Bobalik. She grew up in the Creechville Community and went to school at the Creechville School. On October 26, 1941, Anna married Stanley Zmolek and they made their home in Ennis, then to Dallas, and back to Ennis in 1953. She worked for Cody Company for over 15 years in assembly and for several years for Story Manufacturing as a seamstress. Anna was a member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and KJZT#25. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Zmolek on April 3, 1999; three sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn Donnell and husband, Robert, and Carolyn Jones and husband, Allen; grandchildren: Heather Turner, Amanda Turner, and Courtney Turner; step-grandchildren: Troy Jones, Stacie Brown, Ashlie Graff, Kristy Donnell, and Adam Donnell; great-grandchild, Landon Kade Graham; eight step-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
