Transcribed from "The Bakersfield Californian", Published March 1, 1965 Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hopson's Mortuary for Mrs. Nellie P. George, who died Sunday in Bakersfield Hospital following a long illness. Born in Harrison County, Mo. on March 22, 1910, Mrs George had lived in Bakersfield for 18 years. She made her home at 2914 16th St. She was an active member of the Evangel Assembly of God Church and a member of the Hotel and Restaurant Union, Local 550. Her husband, Frank George, preceded her in death in 1962. Mrs. George is survived by her four children, Forest L. Clark, Ilene Smith, Ruth Netherton, Neta Haggard and 11 grandchildren, all of Bakersfield. Survivors also include two sisters, Mrs. Lulu Seward of San Diego, Mrs. Mary Christensen, of Seward, Neb; two brothers, Courtland A. Lynch of Coalinga, Calif. and Lester W. Lynch of Omaha, Neb; two half-sisters, Mrs. Margaret Gadeke of San Diego and Mrs. Harriet Dilly of Oregon and a half-brother, Jack Scott of Linley, Iowa. Burial will be in the Garden of Roses at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Officiating at the services will be the Rev, James Foreman, the Rev. Harlin Hines, and the Rev, Bob Bloom. Pallbearers will be Porter Bash, Glenn Grammer, Ben Freeman, Al Holmes, Mackie Harris and Al Meadors.
