Bio

Ella Elizabeth Buzek, 86, of Nada, passed away on Jan. 11, 2010. She was born on Nov. 19, 1923 to the late Willie and Annie Zbranek Prihoda. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Christian Mothers, K.J.Z.T., and Nocturnal Adoration Society. She worked for St. Mary's Cafeteria in Nada for over 30 years. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Buzek Bingham of Houston; sons, Harry Buzek of Richmond, James Buzek and wife Debbie of Pasadena, Donald Buzek and wife Denise of New Taiton, and Robert Buzek of Groveton; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor Mican of El Campo; and brothers, Fred Prihoda and wife Delores of El Campo and Joe Prihoda and wife Mary of Friendswood. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry Buzek; grandson, Gregg Buzek; sister, Lillian Budaus; brothers, Leo and Bill Prihoda; and daughter-in-law, Doris Buzek. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home in El Campo. A rosary will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nada. Funeral services will be on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Joe Vrana officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd Buzek, James Buzek Jr., Shawn Buzek, Bradley Bingham, Jordan Buzek, and Travis Buzek. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Church Building Fund or Cemetery Fund.
