Son of Isham Ferguson and Julia A. Kinney who married ca.1824 in Missouri. John Fergusen married Emline Moore 14 July 1852 by Thomas Kensy in Scott County, KY. --from marriage record, ks - why KY, is this him? In 1860 there is a John and Emaline in Buffaloe Lick Townchip, Chariton Co. MO, age 28 and 30, with James 14 and Harvey 15. Same place 1870, ages 41, with James age 8. 1880, farming in Prairie Twp, Howard Co. MO, J.A. age 49, MO, VA-KY; Emmaline 50 KY, KY-KY; Julia 17 niece MO , MO-MO, and farmhand William Switzler 18 (Julia is daughter of John's brother Wiley Ferguson and his wife Elizabeth Montgomery, ks).
