Bio
Janice (Krska) Kohl was born on December 1, 1918 in Atkinson, Nebraska to Joseph J. and Helen E. (Williams) Krska. Janice graduated from Atkinson (NE.) Public High School in 1937. She then moved to Denver, Colorado and worked there during World War II. Janice married Charles W. Kohl on January 9, 1947 in Omaha, Nebraska. The couple then moved to the St. Louis, Missouri area where Janice was active with numerous social organizations and the Methodist Church. When her husband retired the couple move to Deltona, Florida. During her time in Florida, Janice enjoyed yard and garden work and continued her involvement with her social organizations and her church. Charles died on January 27, 2000 and Janice returned to live in her home town to be closer to her sisters. While in Atkinson she helped at the Sturdevant-McKee Museum and the United Methodist Church. Janice is survived by: sister Dona Verzal of Atkinson, Nebraska; niece Darlene Kinnick and her husband Mark of Black Hawk, South Dakota and nephew Tony Verzal of Kearney, Nebraska. Jaanice was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Charles Kohl and sister Maralee Gilg. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Atkinson, Nebraska
