Maxine Cheek Drummond, 82, of Brownfield passed away on January 20, 2014. A Memorial service will be held at a later date in Dallas. Maxine was born in O'Dell on February 20, 1931 to C.A. and Hester Cheek. She was a member of the Church of Christ and Rebekah Lodge. She also volunteered her time at Senior Companions. Maxine married James B. Drummond on August 15, 1948 in Decatur. She worked for Texas Instruments for 18 years as a Material Handler. She is preceded in death by her husband, James B. Drummond; parents, C.A. and Hester Cheek; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Published by Brownfield Funeral Home on January 27, 2014
