***************************************** Wilfred E. "Bill" Scheibe, 72 years, of Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont, Nebraska. Bill was born January 29, 1941 to Edward and Albina (Brousek) Scheibe in Central City, Nebraska. As a child, he moved to Linwood, Nebraska and then to Fremont and has lived at Cedar Bluffs for the past 40 years. He worked for local farmers, then for Arps Sand and Gravel of Linwood, Campbells Soup Company in Fremont, Valmont Industries at Valley, Nebraska, and Magnus Metals in Fremont, where he was a machine operator for 34 years. Bill married Glory Mach in Fremont on February 17, 1962. He is survived by his wife, Glory; brother, David Scheibe of Middleburg, Florida; and sister, Leann Messing of Lincoln, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Wanda Scheibe; brother-in-law, Rick Messing; and very special niece, Lisa Mach. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Cedar Bluffs. Pastor Mark Weber will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 5 PM to 8 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Cedar Bluffs. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery in rural Cedar Bluffs at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Bluffs Fire and Rescue Squad and the Cedar Bluffs American Legion Post #158.
