Son of: Nancy and Washington A. Cooper. 1830 The Cooper Family was in Thomas County, Georgia. 1840 Cooper Family resided in Jackson County, Florida 1851 John married Louisa Slay in Holmes County,Florida 1856 May - John moved his family to Cooper Basin off the Blackwater River John Jordan Cooper was in the US Army and served in the Indian War. Served as Commissioner in the Santa Rosa County's Reconstruction Government until the end of Reconstruction/January 8, 1877 1892/John Jordan Cooper died in the Flu Epidemic
