Bio
Curtis James Serbus was born on 13 November 1970 to Francis James “Frank” and Patricia Kathern Hirman Serbus in Redwood County, Minnesota. Young Curtis James, of rural Danube, died on Tuesday, 25 September 1973, in Renville County, Minnesota, as the result of a farm accident. Curtis would have been three years old in November. Curtis James Serbus was survived by his parents, Francis and Patricia Hirman Serbus; three sisters, Kathy, Linda, and Cheryl all at home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Serbus, Sr., of Renville, and Mr. and Mrs. William Hirman of Raymond. The funeral service for Curtis James was held on Thursday, 27 September 1973, at 10:00 a.m., in the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Renville; the Reverend Owen Kirley conducted the service. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Bechyn, Renville County, Minnesota. Pall bearers were cousins, William Spies of Kimball, Tom Hagen and Tony Schmoll of Bird Island, and Steve Serbus of Minneapolis.
