Services for Hettie M. Whitehead, age 85, of Tyler are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Lloyd James Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Terry Davis officiating. Burial is in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Whitehead went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012. She was born in Tyler to Barney H. and Hettie M. Stovall Whatley on March 12, 1927. She is survived by her husband, David L. Whitehead; daughters, Sandra Thompson and husband Charles, Yvonne Jacobus and husband Lynn and Teresa Rudolph; brother, David P. Whatley; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks to The Hospice of East Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler 75701; or American Lung Association of Texas, 8207 Callagan Road, Suite 140, San Antonio, 78230.
