Bio

DONALD MURRAY BOWMAN, SR., 855 Guilford Avenue, died at the Washington County Hospital Thursday, aged 48. Born and reared in Clearville, Pa, he was the son of Albert and Mary (Barkman) Bowman and had been living in Hagerstown for the past 25 years where he was employed by the Esso Standard Oil Company for 22 years. A veteran of World War II he was a member of the American Legion Post at Funkstown, Md., the Loyal Order of Moose and the South Hagerstown Fire Company. Surviving are wife, Virginia (Welsh) Bowman, son, Donald M. Bowman, Jr.; sisters, Mrs. Grace Seriver, Hancock, Md., Mrs. Dolsie Folst, Winchester, Va.; Mrs. Beatrice Norris, Little Orleans, Md.; brothers, Rhsea Bowman, Little Orleans, Md.; David Bowman, Baltimore; and a number of nieces and nephews.
